Dear Neighbor,
I’m running to represent our community in the State Assembly. Why? Let me be blunt: I think California is headed in the wrong direction. Because of mismanagement in Sacramento our economy is in shambles, our budget billions in the red, and the agricultural heartland that is the single biggest provider of our state’s jobs is threatened. We can do better. It just takes a little horse sense – the kind of horse sense you get growing up here in the valley, helping run a business, and raising a family.
We need legislators in Sacramento who are willing to stand up to the “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch your back” deals between the politicians and the lobbyists in the State Capitol. I don’t think politicians who are already part of this “buddy buddy” way of life can do the job. That’s why I’m running. I can and will stand up as a voice for the average taxpaying California small business or family. If the Special Interests and lobbyists don’t like me, so much the better. After all, I’m interested in going to Sacramento to fix the state, not to attend fancy cocktail parties with the same people who wrecked it.
It all starts with making sure our elected representatives have Conservative Valley Principles. I’d like to think I have those principles, and that that is why I’ve been endorsed by our local Republican icon, Assemblyman George House (ret.). Help me get to Sacramento and I’ll work hard to get our state back on track… and if I fall in with the special interests and find myself more concerned with what they need than with what real people need, you won’t have to fire me – my wife would never let me run again.
